Summer- Balance Builders
In partnership with Alberta Health Services, this program is designed to prevent falls, improve balance, stay strong and maintain independence. The exercises focus on core stability, balance and gait, muscle strengthening, flexibility and endurance. This program is for adults 65 years of age and over. Participants are assessed and monitored. Do you have nagging injuries preventing you from squatting? Are you squatting for performance in sport? Would you like to improve your movement mechanics to reduce your chance of injury? The squat is an essential structural lift to improve strength and quality of life. Summer- Stroller Fit (Offsite)
Meet some new moms, enjoy the fresh air and get fit! Our Stroller Fitness class is an outdoor fitness program. It is a full-body work out focusing primarily on cardio but includes strengthening for hips, thighs, butt, core and some upper body. Late sign up permitted pending space. Summer- Chair Yoga
Have you hesitated to try yoga because it's challenging to get down onto the floor? Now a chair becomes your mat. Just about any pose that can be done standing, sitting, or lying on a mat can be adapted to sitting on a chair. The class includes breathing, meditation, stretching, strengthening and lots of fun.
